Meet Karina Hussein
Founder & Author
Meet Karina Hussein, founder of Sights Seen Publishing and the creative mind behind the heart-warming debut children's board book, Kiyara's Toronto Adventure. Karina’s academic journey reflects her deep commitment to education, learning, and understanding the human experience. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and has obtained a double Master's in Teaching and Education.
Karina brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to the art of storytelling, and aspires to contribute to children’s literature by crafting stories that celebrate diversity, curiosity and the joy of discovering the world around us. With a vision to create stories that reflect the lives of young readers, Karina wants children to see themselves in the spirited character of Kiyara (inspired by her daughter) as she explores the wonders of Toronto.
In her free time, Karina enjoys traveling, attending events in Toronto, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.
